Accessibility statement
ACM is committed to providing a website experience that is accessible to as many people as possible, and to treating accessibility as part of design quality rather than an afterthought.
Our approach
This website has been built with accessibility in mind and we work toward alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice, that has shaped a number of deliberate decisions in the build:
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page and a logical heading order.
- A skip-to-content link and a keyboard-accessible navigation and menu.
- Visible focus states on every interactive element.
- No information conveyed by hover alone — expandable content uses native disclosure controls that work with keyboard and assistive technology.
- Colour is never the only means of communicating state.
- Motion is reduced or removed for visitors who have set a reduced-motion preference.
- Form fields carry persistent visible labels rather than relying on placeholder text.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a fixed state. As we add content and features we continue to test and improve, and we welcome being told where we have fallen short.
